KED 5FORTY KIDS HELMET

When children become teenagers, they can't just use any helmet, and certainly not one that looks good and safe. Since our designers are parents too, they know the problem - and have developed the KED® 5FORTY together with the teens. Inspired by BMX, skate parks and dirt bikes, the look is deliberately "simple", but the interior is particularly technical. Thanks to the maxSHELL® technology, made in Germany, the 5FORTY is lighter and more comfortable than conventional helmets with a skater look. The QUICKSAFE adjustment system ensures a secure fit whether in the bowl, on the ramps or when doing a wheelie in the schoolyard. Trendy color block styles leave room for stickers and the like. maxSHELL®

This technology let the KED helmets differ from others not only in appearance. This production process allows for the inseparable covering of almost the entire inner shell of the helmet with a thin protective shell, including ventilation holes. This shell strengthens and preserves the inner shell of the helmet, absorbing the impact energy in the event of an accident, and also protects against ultraviolet rays. The lower side of the helmet, which is exposed to the most frequent mechanical impacts, is also covered with a micro-shell. In addition, when using this technology, the entire structure of the helmet is more effectively reinforced and becomes flexible and resistant to pressure.
